Dear Friends and Family,
As many of you already know, Gedy and I have decided to make Kansas City, MO, our home, as I begin the a new journey as a full-time Intercessory Missionary at the International House of Prayer, Kansas City, Missions Base. I will be committing to 25 hours of service as well as a minimum of 24 Prayer Room hours. I’m currently working with Intro to IHOP, as well as in the Children’s Equipping Center, and in the little time that I have been here, both of these ministries have made an impact in my life.
What is an Intercessory Missionary?
One who is dedicated to causing change in the lives of people in all nations through prayer, worship, regular periods of fasting, simple living and extravagant giving.
As I commit to the Intercessory Missionary call on my life, in the place of serving God in His temple and telling the good news of His coming, I would like to ask if you would prayerfully consider partnering with us, either with your prayers or your finances.
Prayer, in its seeming weakness and foolishness to the natural mind, is the most effective and most beneficial thing you can do for us. As believers, we have been given a voice in the highest court of all. Above and beyond any amount of financial support, I cherish and value people praying for me on a regular basis.
I want to invite you to commit to pray for me on a regular basis, whether it is once a day, once a week, or once a month. I am counting on your faithfulness in the highest place of government we have on the earth – the place of prayer! If you feel a strong passion for Missions and you are not able to physically go, this is a great way for you to be a part of what God is doing in His master plan for the nations in this generation.
The other way to partner is by joining our Financial Support Team. When you donate financially, you are doing much more than keeping the food on the table and the lights on for a prayer missionary – you are sowing into something far greater than either one of us understands!
No gift is too small! However, our goal is to have people partner with us for $20, $35 or $50 per month for the next year. It doesn’t have to be that specific amount. The only thing that we ask is that you give according to what the Lord places in your heart. You can also give one-time donations.
Raising our own support is admittedly awkward for us since money has been such a tough topic for many people; despite that, we are certain and trust that when God calls, and we say YES to that call, He brings forth provision, spiritually, physically, and materially. I admit that raising my own support continues to be one of the most humbling aspects of this journey. Still, I give thanks to the Lord for giving me this opportunity to stretch my faith and trust in Him as Jehovah-Jireh (God the Provider) and for building meekness in me as I restrain myself from depending on my own abilities and instead submit myself to the Lord’s leadership in my life.
